dsic has on may 10 named her initial 55k dwt chemical/product carrier built for singapore-based imc group successfully, where mitsui & co. deputy gm sang yenu named and cut ropes for the new vessel while imc managing director zeng borong and dsic chairman and party secretary liu zheng accompanied him for witness.
the 55k dwt chemical/product carrier is a shiptype newly developed and designed by dsic to meet market demand. during construction of the project, dsic has planned painstakingly and managed innovatively to have realized m/e pre-assembly on the general-assembly site, and completed installation of through bolts and eye-milling works of fly wheels, where it only took 2hours and 20 minutes to hoist the whole m/e in position. new breakthroughs for hull construction have been made constantly-138 blocks to be put into erection in 11days so as to ensure a smooth realization of undocking milestone. it only took 1 day to adjust the shafting load ready for acceptance test. during the sea trial of the vessel, various departments have worked closely to ensure the sea trial items to link up orderly and tightly, for which it only took 7 days to accomplish the task of sea trial.
