on september 17th, dsic held the naming ceremony for the 72,000-ton product oil carrier no.4 built for dalian ocean shipping co., ltd. representatives of dsic, cosco shipping tanker (dalian) co., ltd and csoc (china shipbuilding & offshore international co., ltd) signed the certificate of delivery. leaders of dsic including yang zhizhong, deng changlian, and related department heads attended the handover ceremony. ms. wu junhua, a guest, named the ship “lian shan hu”.
“lian shan hu” is built by dsic and tailored for dalian ocean shipping co., ltd.. it is a 72,000-ton product oil tanker of lr1 type, with a wide hull, shallow draft and energy-saving feature, which is rare in domestic market. the ship is the fourth one in a series of ships, with hong kong nationality, and with a total length of about 220 meters, a width of 36 meters and a depth of 20 meters.
in the development stage of the ship type, dsic tightly followed the technical development and market trend of the lr1 tanker, focused on “safety, environmental protection and energy conservation”, broke the design habit of the conventional lr1 tanker adopting the panama ship width, and successfully developed the lr1-type 72,000-ton product oil tanker featuring wide hull, shallow draft, large capacity and low energy consumption. in terms of design, full consideration was given to the requirements of the shipowner in terms of operating routes, berthing terminals, loading of goods and etc., which contributed to the stronger port fitness and better cargo fitness; developed line optimization, adopted new green intelligent main engine, matched efficient paddle and energy-saving device, which improved fast performance and reduced daily fuel consumption; the lng ready design technology was adopted to meet the design requirements of drdr (h, m) in the new shipbuilding industry, which realized the investment concept of “exchanging the minimum input for the absolute initiative in future strategy” of the shipowners.
during the test sailing, the ship overcame the huge impact of typhoon “su li” and successfully passed all the test items at one time. the test integrity was greatly improved, and the test process was stable and smooth. the main performance parameters of the ship are excellent, and the fuel consumption results of csr points, actual fuel consumption and speed test results all meet or exceed the contract requirements. by design of effective control for vibration and noise, the actual vessel has obtained a good comfort level, and the noise and vibration level meets the specification while reaching a higher level of the same type of vessel.
