few days ago, along with a long whistle, no.46 180k dwt bulker constructed by dsic launched smoothly, where various works for the vessel at the on-water stage have been completed efficiently and launching integrity has reached a higher level.
a qualitative leap has been realized by setting the standards, strict requirements and nice-looking construction. to do better in quality control for the vessel, dsic has planned carefully, set target, paid much attention to implementation, conducted lean management, compiled the construction standards for cable wiring and small-bore piping fabrication, drawn up the nice-looking evaluation forms including if small-bore pipes strictly conforms to the existing technical requirements, if piping arrangement is straight up and down, if the rear incoming lines for switch board, control console, cargo control console, wheel console switchboard are good-looking, even in wiring, rational in lashing and fastening, and even in wiring trunks, etc. over revision and detailing, a perfect construction standard has been set up to implement the standards strictly in situ, where the nice looking appearance of cable wiring and small-bore piping fabrication for the vessel at the on-water stage has been improved greatly.
to intensify quality and seek for breakthrough, free inspection items have received the recognition from the shipowners. to raise the quality of inspection declaration and ensure the steadiness of inspection index, dsic has taken the corresponding actions to strengthen the internal inspections and communications with the shipowners, which has achieved a good result. the one-time pass rate for the entire ship has reached to 97.57%, among which, 7 inspection items have been exempted from the shipowners through effective control. the commendatory letters from site shipowner’s office and class surveyors have been received separately prior to launching, who have spoken highly of the project team for their pursuit of excellence. meanwhile, the shipowners have selected the best workshop, the best construction team and the best employee in this project.
plan carefully and implement precisely, for which the construction integrity of system and equipment has kept boosting. it is the first time for the vessel to complete the welding work for steering gear foundation and stiffeners; the first time to complete the insulation and white iron wrapping for m/e exhaust pipes; the first time to complete all the insulation dressing for the superstructure including the erection layer; 100% completion rate of all e/r piping tightness inspection items and 100% flushing start rate for the whole-ship e/r systems at the on-water stage; on-water start-up of windlass to achieve the completion of on-water cable installation; paint completion from no. 5~9 cargo holds; part of e/r separate cabins to achieve the completion-ready status as desired, and completion of furniture installation at tier 5~7 of the superstructure, ready for delivery.
