dsic held the ceremony of awarding the aip certificate of “155k ton shuttle oil tanker” and “universal type fpso”to celebrate that these two new models were approved by dnv・gl in principle on 20th november. zheng wei, the chief engineer and deputy general manager of dsic, chen keng, the vice president and general manager (northern china)of dnv・gl, mr. johan gardin, the offshore general manager (greater china) and other techniciansof dnv・gl attended the news conference. mr. liu wenmin, the ship design master and senior technical expert of dsic accepted the approval in principle certificate.
155k ton shuttle oil tanker is independently developed by dsic for brazilian ocean, and satisfies the newly adopted rules and special requirements of petrobras. this model adopts dp2 dynamic positioning system and meets the requirements of dnv・gl class notation dynpos (autr). it has enhanced the working safety, and has a bow loading system to achieve loading of crude oil from fpso. it also meets the nox tier iii and sox emission requirements and is more environment-friendly.
the universal type fpso independently developed by dsic could reach a working depth of 2000m and could store at most 2 million barrels of oil. it is the first fpso that meets new rules of of dnv・gl and has extensive serviceability and compatibility and is suitable for brazilian, west african and australian ocean. dsic has received orders for this fpso and this will lay a solid foundation for dsic to adjust its product structure and achieve high-quality development.
dsic has close cooperation with of dnv・gl in r&d of new types of vessels and offshore equipment. this new ship design is another successful example of win-win cooperation between both parties in innovation. it is also an important measure of dsic in maintaining technical advantage and exploring the new market.
