the vessel is loa 292m, breadth molded 45m, depth molded 24.8m, and divided into 9 cargo holds, capable of loading dry bulk cargoes including coal, grain and iron ore. g-type main engine is applied on board the first time with an excellent comprehensive energy-saving result. major economic and technical index have all reached to and exceeded design requirements through sea trial, where various performances has been in good function to meet relevant rules and regulations, and reached the international advanced standards.
there have been many highlights in the stage of water construction of no.42 180k dwt bulk carrier: first, the building quality of transverse welding seams has been accepted by the class surveyors, who spot checked 112m transverse welding seams on board, only to find that all have passed once; second, it is first time for hydraulic oil flushing of forecastle deck machinery to have passed the examination once, laying good foundation for mounting anchor chains on water; third, part of items have enjoyed exemption from inspection. with an effective control of internal check, the load water line of this vessel has been accomplished for acceptance test on water, with the pre-launching items of boiling out, cathodic protection insulation measurement and f.o. overfill tank closing exempted from inspection.
