the carrier is a strategic cooperation project jointly signed between dsic shipping co. and heshun shipping co. (held by dalian hesheng holding co., ltd. and mds), converting a 660teu container ship into 6400�o fully enclosed live stock carrier, added with 8 and a half layers of semi-pen deck, abt. 1600 tons, for one-time carriage of 5000 cattle or 16000 sheep. the carrier is 132.82m loa, 19.84m breadth moulded, 9.2m depth moulded, and 11672 gross tons with a service speed 17knots, which is the most advanced design and the most environmental shiptype in the world up to now, mainly for carriage of live cattle or sheep. upon delivery after conversion, the carrier shall be put into service by the sinotrans-csc live stock transport co., ltd, jointly set up by china trade shipping co., ltd., dalian hesheng holding co., ltd. and mds.
through significant transformation of volume expansion by dsic shipping co., the advanced animal living facilities like auto-drinking system, auto fodder feed system, vibration and noise control system, ventilation system, lighting system and stool handling system are equipped aboard in the cattle/sheep pen areas additionally so as to comply with the high-standard amsa inspection requirements.
